Minorities are often a litmus test that reveals the state of democracy in a country. When democracy collapses, they are usually the first to be at risk. One such minority is queer people: gays, lesbians, trans people, or for example non-binary people. In the documentary series Jsme tady (We Are Here), journalist and presenter Filip Titlbach addresses topics related to queer society and the present day. Where do they feel safe? How difficult is it to form relationships and start a family? Why are clubs such essential spaces for them? Through a report-style approach and personal interviews, the new series shows that the lives of queer people concern not only them, but everyone in this country.
